The story of this hotline starts at UT-Austin, where there are a lot of weird & interesting people to talk to, but everyone's so busy and spread out that it's hard to have meaningful conversations with a person if you're outside their social bubble.

When an engineering student wanted to tap into more of the social potential on the Forty Acres with less effort, he began experimenting with ways to make communication with people in different social bubbles easier. After graduation and many iterations, the Viewz Hotline was created.

Today, the Viewz Hotline is operated out of the Austin area by a UT alum and is undergoing private beta testing with a single extension for CALLing students in different social bubbles at the University of Texas.
